报告摘要:
For the next leap in renewable energy exploitations, we are under obligations not only to cope with warming global environment but also to conserve natural ecosystems and coexist with natures. In-house advanced technologies for power units are presented, to exploit utilize effectively promising dynamic resources in onshore and offshore. The power units are composed of tandem impellers/runners/rotors and a peculiar motor/generator with double rotational armatures.
(1) Counter-Rotating Type Hydroelectric Unitcan be provide for not only onshore water resources but alsooffshore tidal ranges with both rising and falling tides at a power station having an embankment in place oftraditional bulb type turbines. The relative rotational speed is two times faster than the single runner/armature speed while the rotational moment counter-balances in the unit, and the unit has following promising advantages. (a) The induced voltage is sufficiently higheror the armature diameter can be reduced. (b) Cavitation can be suppressed well through the relatively slower runner speeds. (c) The rotational moment hardly acts on a mounting bed because not only reaction force is counter-balanced but also the counter-rotation negates gyro-effect.
(2) Tidal Stream Power Unit is submerged and not only set on a pile but also be moored with only one cable because the rotational system has not reaction force.
(3) Floating Type Ocean Wave Power Unit, where a pair of floats lines up atinterval of one wave pitch and supports above Counter-Rotating Type Hydroelectric Unit whose runners are submerged in the seawater at the middle position, can get fruitful power higher than the traditional system. It is extremely easy to install the unit with large capacity in the floating station moored to the seabed with only one cable.
(4) Intelligent Wind Power Unit adjusts the rotational speeds and the directions of the tandem wind rotors in cooperation with the double rotational armatures, in response to wind circumstances. As for a upwind type unit, the wind rotors start to counter-rotate at weak wind, and the rear wind rotor with small diameter reaches the maximum rotational speed at the rated wind velocity. With more increase of wind velocity, the rear wind rotor decelerates gradually, and begins to rotate at the same direction of the front wind with large diameter.
(5) Counter-Rotating Type Pump-Turbine unit can be provided for the pumped storage system to stabilize fluctuating powers from renewable resources. The operating mode can be shifted instantaneously in response to fluctuation of the power from renewable resources. It is necessary to make the rotational speed increase quickly when the operation is changed from the turbine to the pumping modes. The maximum hydraulic efficiency at the turbine mode is in close to the efficiency of the hydroelectric unit designed exclusively for the turbine mode.
